That bill, ultimately recovered through consumer electricity tariffs, reflects payments made to generators to curtail output the grid cannot absorb. RenewaBlox positions its deployable compute hardware as a demand-side offtaker at source, so producers capture revenue from otherwise stranded generation.

RenewaBlox delivers three named service lines. Its Grid Flexibility offering connects into NESO's flexibility markets, enabling on-demand absorption of surplus energy and reducing constraints payments to the wider consumer base. Its stranded energy offtake service co-locates hardware with generators, including anaerobic digestors, solar farms, run-of-river hydro plants, wind farms, and hybrid sites that face binding grid export limits. The third line, Heat-as-a-Service (HaaS), captures the thermal byproduct of mining operations and routes it into commercial heating applications including aquaculture, horticulture, swimming pools, district heating, and distilleries, supporting site-level decarbonisation. The company provides an end-to-end service encompassing initial viability assessment, hardware design, physical installation, and ongoing operational management under agreed commercial terms.

The leadership team spans Bitcoin mining operations and energy-sector engineering. Co-CEO Jason Deane has been active in Bitcoin mining since 2016 and is a published author and speaker on macroeconomics and Bitcoin. Co-CEO and founder Callum Wheeler is a serial entrepreneur who specialises in the intersection of Bitcoin mining and the energy transition; Wheeler has appeared as a speaker at Blockchain Expo Europe, and RenewaBlox holds a partner listing at Blockchain Expo Global. CTO Tom French brings more than a decade of complex automotive programme leadership to the company's operational delivery. Kevin McGuckien serves as advisor, with fifteen-plus years of startup advisory experience focused on compliance and tax.

In July 2024, RenewaBlox hosted the UK premiere of the Bitcoin documentary *Dirty Coin* at South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell, Berkshire, with Wheeler and Deane present to discuss the company's model with attendees. The company ran an equity crowdfunding campaign on Wefunder in 2023. Prospecting activity has included site visits in Scotland across anaerobic digestion facilities, run-of-river hydro installations, and recycling centres as it builds its UK project pipeline.

With UK grid constraint costs projected to worsen materially over the next five years as renewable capacity additions outpace transmission build-out, RenewaBlox's co-location model is positioned to scale alongside the structural curtailment problem it targets.
