Business Description

Greenidge Generation Holdings (NASDAQ: GREE) operates a vertically integrated natural gas-fired power generation and bitcoin mining business anchored at a 107-megawatt facility in Dresden, New York, a former coal plant Atlas Holdings acquired in 2014, converted to natural gas in 2016, and expanded into bitcoin mining in late 2018.

Greenidge listed on NASDAQ in September 2021 via a reverse merger with Support.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPRT), becoming the first publicly traded vertically integrated power generator and bitcoin miner in the United States. Atlas Holdings, a private equity firm with more than $3 billion of assets under management and experience operating over 1,000 megawatts of U.S. power assets, remains the controlling shareholder. Jordan Kovler has served as Chief Executive Officer since November 2023; Timothy Fazio, Managing Partner and co-founder of Atlas Holdings, was elected Board Chairman in April 2025.

In July 2024, Greenidge unveiled its Pod X modular bitcoin mining enclosure at the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville. Each Pod X unit accommodates 792 miners (approximately 35% more than competing pod designs) and has been deployed at the company's sites in New York, South Carolina, North Dakota, and Mississippi. Greenidge operates a 7.5-megawatt mining lease in Underwood, North Dakota, and in September 2025 closed the sale of its Columbus, Mississippi operating facility to US Digital Mining Mississippi LLC for $3.9 million, while retaining 37 acres there for future development; 40 megawatts of additional Mississippi capacity is expected online by March 2027.

Greenidge reported Q3 2025 revenue of $15.2 million and net income of $12.0 million. During 2025, the company reduced its October 2026 senior unsecured debt from $68.5 million to $36.7 million; in March and April 2026, Greenidge completed an exchange offer for remaining senior notes due 2026. In November 2025, Greenidge Generation and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation agreed on a new five-year Title V Air Permit renewal for the Dresden plant, requiring a 44% reduction in permitted greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and a 25% reduction in measured actual emissions, terms the agreement states exceed New York's Climate Leadership Community Protection Act standards. The company has received approval for 100 megawatts of non-curtailable power across Dresden and Mississippi, and has initiated a NYISO system impact study to access an additional 200 megawatts at Dresden in support of a planned AI and high-performance computing datacenter expansion.
