Sequans Communications S.A. (NYSE: SQNS) is a cellular semiconductor company headquartered in Paris, France, designing 5G/4G chips and modules for non-smartphone IoT devices. Sequans recently announced its third-generation 5G eRedCap chips (Monarch 3 and Calliope 3) for low-data and higher-end IoT applications alongside the Iris RF transceiver. Q1 2026 preliminary unaudited results showed revenue of $6.1 million and an operating loss of $50.5 million driven primarily by $29.3 million of Bitcoin impairment and $11.7 million of net BTC sales losses to fund debt obligations.
